
Below are awards and prizes that are presented at the Annual BOA Congress.
BOA Innovation in Simulation and Education
At the BOA Centenary Congress there will be a prize for best Simulation Free Paper. This may be on any simulation topic and must be submitted via the BOA Congress abstract submission process, following the style guide below. All abstracts selected for podium presentation in the Simulation Free Papers session of Congress will be eligible. Presentations will be judged during the session and the winner announced at the BOA Awards and Medals session during the Congress.
BOA Simulation Free Paper Prize
The BOA Simulation Free Paper Prize is awarded to the best simulation abstract presented.
BOA Clinical Leaders Poster Prize
This award is presented to the author of the best poster submitted by fellows on the BOA Clinical Leaders Programme.
Best of the Best Award
This session comprises winners of the best paper award from each training region in the UK. Trainees compete with each other to be award the Best of the Best.
BOA Young Investigator Award
The BOA Young Investigator’s Award is open to BOA Fellows under the age of 45. The top scoring abstracts will be presented and judged in the BOA Young Investigator session during the Congress.
BOA Medical Student Paper Prize
The Medical Student who presents the best paper during the Medical Students’ session on Friday is awarded the BOA Medical Student Podium Prize.
